The Aux Spring Roadmap
I'm going to run through some of the features we're working on as suggested by you, our users, as well as a sneak peek of some other bits we have in the works.
If you've been paying attention to each of our fortnightly changelog posts you'll see we've been talking a lot about the Open Roadmap. Instead of the usual post today I'm going to run through some of the features we're working on as suggested by you, our users, as well as a sneak peek of some other bits we have in the works.
Editing and Deleting Comments (In Development)
It's been just five weeks since a user got in touch to ask for this feature. Being able to delete or edit comments in your project threads lets you catch those typos or delete your message when you have that moment of realisation "I already asked that!"

Metadata Editing (Planned)
This one comes from user nonconformist and Antony Darvill on the Open Roadmap. Being a more complex feature our Product Manager and UX Designer are working through this one. With many files types uploaded to Aux, from MP3 to WAV and AIF our users want to view and edit key metadata fields regardless of the file type. The challenge is to support every file in a consistent way. This will be in the works in the coming months. If you want it sooner, give it a vote over on the roadmap page.
Desktop Syncing (Alpha Testing)
This one is more of a group of features. Bringing all of the file and project management features to a desktop app for Mac (and later Windows) while adding desktop syncing is not a small feat. We've been working on this one since the beginning of the year with some early testers trying the app out via our Alpha Testing list.

File and Folder Tagging (Planned)
With the average Aux user having 500GB+ of music files, searching and finding files in your own collection can be challenging to say the least. That's why a request by Ragged Company Recordings and nonconformist has quickly been picked up by our team. We have some really interesting ideas for this one, including adding a little Aux AI technology to help tag your library so look out for this in upcoming changelog posts.
Threaded Comments and Replies (In Progress)
Now that users have been working with Aux projects for a number of months, it's about time to add some more advanced features to the project comments feed. One of those is threading which lets you keep your conversations organised.
If you want your feature to appear in our roadmap, you can contribute to the product in two ways; you can submit features ideas directly to our public roadmap and email your thoughts questions and ideas directly to the Aux team.,
